Our Beaches

Florida is famous for its beaches and the Jacksonville area has miles of beautiful white sand along its coast.  Oceanfront parks such as Huguenot Memorial Park  and Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park are favorites among locals looking to escape to the beach for a relaxing day of sun, sand and surf. Seaside communities such as Amelia Island, Jacksonville Beach and Neptune Beach also have beautiful beaches as well as shops, bars, restaurants and a calendar of events to keep you entertained throughout the year.  Visit the oldest city in the nation, St. Augustine, just a short drive south of Jacksonville.

Freebird Café (Jacksonville Beach) – One of the country’s premier smaller live music venues showcasing a spectrum of national and regional touring artists.

Jacksonville Landing  (downtown Jacksonville) – Overlooking the St. Johns River the Landing offers outdoor concerts and events every weekend.

Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts (downtown Jacksonville) – Home of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra this venue also hosts various concerts, plays, musicals and dance performances

Veterans Memorial Arena (downtown Jacksonville) – This is Jacksonville’s large-scale venue for national and international bands and artists.

Convention Center

The Prime Osborn Convention Center is a 265,000 square foot facility 20 minutes from Jax JetPort and with 1500+ hotel rooms within a five-mile radius.

Cruises

Carnival Cruise Lines offers 4 and 5-day cruises from Jacksonville to The Bahamas aboard the 2,052-passenger Carnival Fascination.   All cruises sail from the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal, located in North Jacksonville.

Fishing
